YES is a positive, colourful, and validating annual exhibition opening at aMBUSH Gallery Sydney this November. It provides a window into the unique experiences of the LGBTQ+ community, and celebrates the fifth anniversary of Australia voting ‘yes’ to equal marriage rights.

Through multidisciplinary works, YES will cover myriad themes including the representation of the queer community, body representation, love, and the intersections that exist such as race, neurodiversity and chronic illness.

With the historical lack of opportunity afforded to LGBTQ+ artists for their works to be displayed and sold, YES was created to exhibit this art that can sit as proudly in a gallery as it can in a living room.

Produced and presented by aMBUSH Gallery, this year sees a lineup of 15 artists: Bowen Halkett, Em Rose, Gizem Demiroz, Isabella Brown, Izaak Bink, Jeff McCann, Joe Say, Kayla Bowness, Kazuki Komatsu, Late Harris, Patrick Krzywicki, Risako Katsumata, Ryan Pola, Will Thompson, and Ziggy Grana.

Join us at aMBUSH Gallery (4a James Street, Waterloo) on Thursday 17 November from 6-9pm for opening night, including drinks supplied by Capital Brewing Co. YES will then be on show daily, 12noon until 4pm, from Friday 18 November until Sunday 20 November, with all works for sale.
