The program uses the ocean and surfing as a conduit to explore, stimulate and facilitate positive therapy outcomes in people struggling with mental health issues, especially LGBTQI+ youth.<\/p>\n<p>This important exhibition sees artists from all walks of life coming together to create a collaborative show of multidisciplinary works.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"last column\">\n<p>With a wide variety of high profile artists as well as emerging artists, the works are designed to inspire important conversations and empower youth.<\/p>\n<p>Join us to see the aMBUSH Gallery covered in these eclectic artworks, including a wall of surfboards specially painted for the exhibition.<\/p>\n<p>Opening night for\u00a0<em>Crossing Boarders Vol. 2<\/em>\u00a0is Thursday 20 February from 6-9pm at aMBUSH Gallery (4 James Street, Waterloo) after which it will be open daily and free of charge to the public from Friday 21 February to Sunday 23 February, from 12-4pm.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Cross Boarders was founded by Adam Conway to help LGBTI+ youth at risk through free surfing sessions, run professionally by Waves of Wellness, whose mental health clinicians are also trained in learn-to-surf instructing.
