A new national art initiative, the\u00a0Harmony Art Collective<\/strong>, has seen four top street artists deliver workshops to over 300 young Australians across six states. The collaboration enabled the young participants, many newly-arrived to Australia, to express their cultural heritage and self-identity through art.<\/span><\/p>\n

The exhibition will be officially opened by Senator the\u00a0Hon Zed Seselja<\/strong>, Assistant Minister for Social Services and Multicultural Affairs. Short speeches by\u00a0Helen Kellie<\/strong>, SBS Chief Content Officer and\u00a0Kagi Kowa<\/strong>, workshop participant. The large scale artworks will be showcased at a public exhibition in\u00a0Darling Quarter\u2019s<\/strong>\u00a0art space\u00a0OPEN<\/strong>\u00a0from 15 March \u2013 25 April, to celebrate Harmony Day 2017.<\/span><\/p>\n

Featuring artists Brad Eastman (aka Beastman), Kaff-eine, Regan Tamanui (aka Haha) and Ben Frost.<\/p>\n

The initiative is a collaboration between Special Broadcasting Service (SBS), the Department of Social Services and aMBUSH Gallery.<\/p>\n
