Fire up your children’s imaginations this winter with the power of music with our free music workshops by non-profit, music based arts organisation Heaps Decent.

Wollongong Central will be alive with the sound of music these July school holidays! Children aged five and older can dive into the art of creating music in a free 90 minute workshop. They’ll start by learning how to structure a song, then create it with electronic sounds, record, and finally perform their original composition.

The workshops are led by skilled facilitators from Heaps Decent, a non-profit, music-based arts organisation that gives kids the valuable chance to write, perform, record and produce. No prior musical experience is necessary!

Curated and produced by aMBUSH Gallery and presented with Heaps Decent and Wollongong Central, the workshops allow kids to have their voices heard. (Please note: a parent or guardian must be in attendance with their child at the workshop).

Two workshops will be held daily, at 11am-12:30pm and 1pm-2:30pm.
