aMBUSH Gallery is proud to present a large-scale mural project at Westfield North Lakes, transforming a functional space into a vibrant celebration of native flora and community connection.
Contemporary mural artist Bastian Allfrey was commissioned to reimagine a high-traffic loading dock area, bringing colour, energy and narrative into a typically overlooked environment. Drawing on his connection to the natural landscape, Allfrey’s work features native Australian flora including Banksia, Wattle and Bottlebrush, symbolising growth, resilience and interconnectedness.
The mural reflects the evolving identity of the North Lakes community while introducing a moment of visual engagement within an operational space. It highlights the potential for art to elevate everyday environments and enhance both public and behind-the-scenes experiences.
This project continues aMBUSH Gallery’s commitment to supporting Australian artists and delivering site-responsive works that connect with place, people and context.
