Vivid Sydney at Central Park
aMBUSH Gallery in partnership with Central Park, Frasers Property, Sekisui House and Destination NSW, brought Vivid Sydney to Central Park as a new precinct in 2015 with a major activation that spanned across the three pillars – Vivid Lights, Vivid Ideas and Vivid Music.
Titled Vivid Sydney at Central Park, the Lights activation featured street art projections on the heritage facade of the old Kent Brewery by commissioned Australian artists Beastman (SYD) titled “It’s All Around You”and Reko Rennie (MELB) titled “Culture Is Not A Lifestyle Choice”. The aMBUSH Event Space invited the Keystone Group to activate the space as a festival lounge and bar throughout the festival with the Newtown Hotel. The activation came under the banner of STREETS AHEAD which included Vivid Ideas with a Conference, Talks and Exhibition with international keynote speakers and Vivid Music with a series of music programming inside the Festival Lounge.
The activation attracted over 230,000 visitors to the precinct across the 18 nights, it was curated and produced by aMBUSH Gallery with technical direction by ample Projects and projection technology by TDC.
