Mambuwalabu ngaanhabu gulbalabu – Look and See (Understand) is a powerful public exhibition that brings together four stylistically diverse First Nations artists from across Australia.

Featuring works by Bronwyn Bancroft, Dennis Golding, Elizabeth Close, and Jessi Rebel, each artist offers a unique perspective through their chosen mediums and styles, creating a dynamic expression of culture, identity, and storytelling. Their works invite viewers to pause, reflect, and connect more deeply with the richness and complexity of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander experiences.

Presented by Liberty Place and curated and produced by aMBUSH Gallery, this exhibition transforms the public realm into a space of learning and cultural exchange. It offers the community an opportunity to engage with First Nations perspectives, histories, and futures in an open, accessible environment.

In 2025, we mark National Reconciliation Week with the theme “Bridging Now to Next”, and celebrate 50 years of NAIDOC Week under the theme “The Next Generation: Strength, Vision & Legacy”. Together, these themes honour the past while championing a shared, inclusive future. This exhibition embodies those ideals—amplifying voices, celebrating resilience, and fostering unity through creativity.
