A 2013 exhibition featuring new paintings and mural installations from artists Beastman and Phibs, with sound design by Dan O’Toole (Ears).

Entwined in the apparent randomness of nature are strict laws governed by mathematical order; control, geometry and symmetry. These same elements are entwined in the flourish and flair of artists Phibs and Beastman’s signature artworks. Control in their masterful application of aerosol paint, geometry that pulls together the flourish and flair of their complimentary and well-honed aesthetics, and symmetry in their personal and professional lives.

In Our Nature was an apt and intriguing concept for the pair’s collaborative exhibition launched at aMBUSH Gallery, Waterloo. The show comprised new paintings on mounted wood that explored nature’s boundless influence and capacity to inspire. Twisting together both real and imagined colours patterns and life forms, Phibs and Beastman’s vibrant portrayals of nature captured the audience’s attention.

In addition to these works, In Our Nature featured a large-scale original mural and atmospheric sound design by fellow artist, Daniel ‘Ears’ O’Toole. The show was a vivid multi-sensory display of artistic collaboration, presented by aMBUSH Gallery in partnership with Ironlak.
