Inspired by the Know My Name movement and in a cultural partnership with the National Gallery of Australia, HERE I AM: Art by Great Women is a summer cultural arts festival being held at Kambri at the Australian National University from 20 November 2020 until 5 March 2021.

As part of the HERE I AM: Art by Great Women festival, Kambri at ANU and aMBUSH Gallery are proud to present one of their most exciting exhibitions to date. It’s the latest group show in the Kambri space, and will be a dynamic showcase of work from over 30 incredible women – all contemporary emerging and established Australian artists.

Coming from multi-disciplinary art practices – including street art, fine art, photography, illustration, digital, sculpture, film and more – this extraordinary lineup of diverse women includes the likes of Lucy O’Doherty, Jane Gillings, 23rd Key, Minna Leunig, Maddie Gibbs, Nicole Reed, Jenna Lee, Mafalda Vasconcelos, Bronte Leighton-Dore and Holly Greenwood, to name a few.

Join us at aMBUSH Gallery Kambri on Friday 20 November from 7pm-10pm for the launch of one of the most exciting group shows to date, featuring a stellar lineup of artworks created by over 30 women from across Australia including street art, fine art, photography, illustration, digital, sculpture, film and more. Many of the featured artists will be in attendance at this dynamic event – it’s a ‘not to be missed’ evening on the Canberra social calendar and will include live music from Vessel Collective DJs, Niamh and Maleika, plus complimentary drinks from Lerida Estate and Capital Brewing.

Attendees will have the opportunity to purchase works from the gallery exhibition, which will be on display daily from 10am-6pm weekdays and 12pm-5pm on weekends until Sunday, 28 February. Admission is free.

RSVP to the exhibition opening via Eventbrite as venue capacity is limited.

Presented by Kambri at ANU, and curated and produced by aMBUSH Gallery, the three-month family-friendly festival aims to re-energise our cultural landscape by showcasing some of Australia’s best women creatives, in the heart of our nation.
