Opening in Joplin Lane at Kambri at ANU this February, Game On is a vibrant contemporary pop-up arcade parlour with a vintage feel. Free for ANU students, staff and visitors, Game On features pinball and arcade machines, plus air hockey, ping pong and more. It’s a stress-free haven to game, socialise, and be immersed in creativity.

Contributing to the lively atmosphere, the space is punctuated by specially commissioned large-scale artworks created by the exceptional talent from the ANU School of Art & Design (SOAD) including Faith Kerehona, Izaäk Bink, Samantha Corbett, Georgia Kamvissis and Natasha Pidcock.

Game On is presented by Kambri at ANU, and produced and curated by aMBUSH Gallery Canberra. It will be open 7 days a week, free of charge and just in time for O Week! Opening hours are 10am until 4pm daily.

Designed to be student-owned and relevant, Game On will also feature an evolving artwork activation area, giving visitors the opportunity to contribute to the visual environment through the use of paste-ups, a sticker wall, and a chalkboard with the prompt “I am inspired by …” to which they’re encouraged to respond with their own musings. It’s a welcoming environment where everyone is invited to get in on the gaming action, enjoy the art from SOAD talent, contribute to the communal display, or just relax.
