DOBBY is a multi-instrumentalist who is increasingly being known for bouncing between piano, drums, & drum pads, with his unique signature ‘drapping’ (rapping & drumming at the same time).

aMBUSH Gallery and Kambri at ANU teamed up with the Canberra International Music Festival to present innovative music by exceptional artists.

DOBBY is a rapper, drummer and music composer. He proudly identifies as a Filipino and Aboriginal musician, whose family is from Brewarrina on Ngemba land, and is a member of the Murrawarri Republic in Weilmoringle, NSW. He has performed extensively locally including BIGSOUND and Sydney Opera House, and internationally in Germany, UK, USA and Netherlands.

Canberra International Music Festival (CIMF) is a not-for-profit organisation and registered charity that presents an annual art music festival. CIMF has achieved a national reputation for presenting an art music program that is highly innovative and of exceptional quality. Their audiences experience performances that are considered provoking, vibrant and uplifting.
