Portal is an exhibition of works from ten female artists, whose unique artworks are a gateway into their whimsical and fantastical minds.

Anchored by central themes of the ethereal, and our world of infinite options, the artworks are creations borne of history, emotion, personal discovery and beliefs.

This multimedia collection from Australian and international artists includes painting, photography, and sculpture, with the line up of artists including: Alex Xerri, Alexandra Alvarez, Bridget Stehli Curnow, Danielle Becknell, Eliza Gosse, Kansas Smeaton, Lucy King, Melanie Booth, Paula McCambridge and Whimbrel Wilson.

Produced and presented by aMBUSH Gallery and curated by Danielle Becknell + aMBUSH Gallery, Portal highlights the distinctive message of each artist as the viewer joins them on their journey of boundless opportunities.

Come and see this intriguing group show that encourages interpretation and is driven by inquisitiveness and a desire to step into a playful multidimensional universe.

Opening night is Thursday, 1 August from 6-9pm at aMBUSH Waterloo Gallery (4a James Street, Waterloo) and will feature music from DJ Al Dente. The exhibition will continue daily from 12-4pm until Sunday, 4 August.
